"From today I declare that Australia is under new management," said Australia's new prime minister Friday night. Tony Abbott won the country's general election in a landslide, returning the General-National coalition to power for the first time in six years. Projections show the coalition winning 91 seats in Parliament, with the Labor party snagging just 55. The previous parliament featured 71 Labor seats and 72 for the coalition. Prime Minister and Labor leader Kevin Rudd conceded the election, saying that he would not attempt to retain the leadership of his party because the country's citizens "deserve a fresh start."
