This is going to be quite a change from Julia Gillard. Australia swore in the conservative Tony Abbott as prime minister, who went on to unveil a cabinet of 18 men and one woman. Abbott has promised to repeal Australia’s carbon tax and turn back boats bringing immigrants from Asia. Abbott said that as soon as he returned to Parliament from his swearing in he would tell his cabinet to prepare a repeal of the carbon tax.
