André De Shields is an actor, director, and educator. He recently celebrated five decades as a theater artist and in 2019, at the age of 73, he won a Tony Award and Grammy Award for the musical Hadestown which is awaiting the return of Broadway to resume performances at the Walter Kerr Theatre.
The Tony Award-winning Broadway star writes that it is “imperative” that Derek Chauvin be found guilty of all the charges against him in the killing of George Floyd.
