Dr. Haroon K. Ullah is the Chief Strategy Officer at the Broadcasting Board of Governors and the author of Digital World War: Islamists, Extremists, and the Fight for Cyber Supremacy and other books.

He is a scholar, diplomat and policy practioner with a special focus on digital strategy, countering violent extremism and transmedia engagement. Ullah has advised three Secretary’s of State, traveled with Ambassador Richard Holbrooke and started the first countering violent extremism office at any U.S. Embassy. He teaches at Georgetown University and is a term member of the Council on Foreign Relations.
