I have seen firsthand the damage family separations have wrought. You could have resigned to protest them. Instead, you administered that damage.
Kate Chaltain is an immigration attorney in private practice in New York City specializing in removal defense, asylum, and family immigration. She is a 2019 and 2018 Super Lawyers New York City Rising Star in Immigration Law. She is a 2008 graduate of the Fordham University College of Law where she was a Stein Scholar in Ethics and Public Interest Law. While at Fordham she was a Board Member of the Immigration Advocacy Project and a recipient of the Archibald Murray Magna Cum Laude Award for Public Interest Service. She lives in Manhattan with her husband and two children.
