Laird Hunt is the author of the just released Neverhome, a story of the Civil War, as well a volume of short stories and five novels, including Kind One, a finalist for both the 2013 Pen/Faulkner Award and the 2013 Pen USA Literary Award in Fiction and the winner of a 2013 Anisfield-Wolf Book Award for Fiction. Hunt is currently currently on the faculty in the University of Denver’s Creative Writing Program, where he also edits the Denver Quarterly.
