Bicycling is increasingly popular, but we still labor under the old prejudices that bikers are very well off or very poor. That ignores the big majority in the middle.
Laura Everett ('Holy Spokes') is a minister who commutes by bike. She's noticed, based on the reactions she gets, that people tend to view bikers as the idle rich, asshole Lance knockoffs, drunks who've lost their licenses, or people too poor to buy a car.
