Mary-Alice Daniel was born in northern Nigeria and raised in England and Nashville. She holds degrees from Yale University and the University of Michigan. When she is not traveling the world solo, her adopted home is Los Angeles, where she is earning a PhD in English Literature and Creative Writing at the University of Southern California.
