Pearl Gabel is a writer and visual journalist whose work has appeared in the Wall Street Journal, The New York Times and NBC. Previously, she was a staff photographer at the New York Daily News, where she covered everything from the uprising in Ferguson to the aftermath of the Newtown school shooting. She is working on an essay collection titled “The Wood.”
