Randy Cohen is the original writer of The New York Times Magazine column The Ethicist, from 1999 to 2011. He's also an Emmy-winning TV writer for Late Night with David Letterman and The Rosie O'Donnell Show. He is a composer, author of several books, including Be Good, and the creator and host of the public radio program Person Place Thing on WAMC.
