Steven Ujifusa is the author of THE LAST SHIPS FROM HAMBURG: Business, Rivalry, and the Race to Save Russia’s Jews on the Eve of World War I. He received his BA in history from Harvard University and has a master’s degree in historic preservation from the University of Pennsylvania. He has given presentations across the country and on the high seas and has appeared as guest on CBS Sunday Morning and NPR.
