Authorities released a mugshot for Paul Manafort, President Trump’s former campaign chairman, on Thursday, as he was transferred to the Alexandria Detention Center in Virginia. Manafort had previously been locked up at a jail in Warsaw, Virginia, where prosecutors said he was treated like a “VIP.” The Alexandria Detention Center has housed terrorists, spies, and traitors, according to a federal judge overseeing Manfort’s case. Manafort is behind bars for allegedly trying to tamper with witnesses, telling them to lie to investigators about their lobbying work for a Russian-friendly political party in Ukraine. He’s been hit with a slew of other charges, including bank fraud, obstruction of justice, and conspiracy against the United States.
