Autopsy: Kennedy Took Antidepressants

Mary Kennedy, the estranged wife of Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. who hanged herself in a barn behind her home in Barnard, New York in May, had three different types of antidepressants in her system at the time of her death, according to an autopsy report released Friday. As Newsweek reported in June, citing sources close to the Kennedy family and a sealed divorce affidavit, Mary had struggled with alcohol abuse, and had allegedly hit her husband and threatened to kill herself. She had been arrested twice for driving while intoxicated in 2010, but there’s no evidence that she had been drinking at the time of her suicide, according to the autopsy.
