Dylan Noble, the unarmed 19-year-old who was shot and killed by Fresno police on June 25, had a blood-alcohol level above the legal-driving limit and traces of cocaine in his system, according to newly released autopsy results. Officials only released partial results from the toxicology tests, which show Noble had a blood-alcohol content of 0.12 and a small amount of benzoylecgonine, a compound formed when the body breaks down cocaine. The police body-camera footage of Noble’s shooting by two officers sparked outrage and protests in California last month. In the video, the unarmed teen is shot four times after pacing near officers, not fully complying with orders, and declining to show one of his hands. “Let me see your hands!” an officer shouted repeatedly. At one point, Noble reportedly said, “I fucking hate my life.” One of the officers fired twice, then again when Noble was face-up on the ground and seemed to reach for his waistband.
