After raking in $41.3 million this weekend, Avatar surpassed Star Wars on the all-time domestic box-office charts, making it No. 3 on the list. Thus far, the sci-fi's domestic total is $491.8 million, and is expected to reach $500 million after Martin Luther King Day. "One guy makes two movies in 10 years, and they're by far the biggest movies of all time," said 20th Century Fox's head of distribution, Chris Aronson. Avatar's $1.6 billion worldwide total is quickly catching up to Cameron's last box-office hit, Titanic, which sits pretty at No. 1, and is also nearing No. 2 on the domestic chart, The Dark Knight.
