Avenatti Says New Video Shows R. Kelly Sexually Assaulting Victim in Criminal Case

Michael Avenatti said he will turn over to Chicago prosecutors another videotape of R. Kelly that allegedly shows the R&B star sexually assaulting a 14-year-old girl. On Monday, Avenatti described to reporters a 55-minute-long tape he said shows Kelly “engaged in illegal sexual assault of 14 year-old-girl.” He added that the tape is believed to have been recorded in 1999 or 2000. Avenatti said the girl on the tape is one of four victims that Cook County, Illinois prosecutors charged Kelly with abusing. “The conduct in the tape can be described as nothing short of outrageous, illegal, it leaves no question of Mr. Kelly's guilt,” Avenatti said. Kelly repeatedly refers to the victim as having a “14-year-old ‘body part,’” Avenatti said, using nearly identical language as Kelly is alleged to have used in a tape turned over to prosecutors last week. Kelly pleaded not guilty to charges to 10 counts in an Illinois court on Monday.
