Disney and Marvel’s Avengers: Infinity War has continued its record-breaking winning streak, bringing in an estimated $112.5 million to become the second highest-grossing film in its second weekend. The superhero flick, which brings together more than 20 Marvel heroes as they engage in intergalactic battle, has raked in $1.2 billion globally before even opening in China. The film also topped the $1 billion mark within 11 days of its release—faster than any other film on record. This weekend’s three new releases proved to be no match for Marvel’s superhero mashup. MGM and Lionsgate’s Overboard, a remake of the 1987 rom-com starring Anna Faris and Eugenio Derbez, managed to claim second place with $14.8 million. Diablo Cody’s Tully, starring Charlize Theron, landed in the No. 7 spot with an estimated $3.2 million. The third new offering this weekend, Bad Samaritan, earned $1.7 million to take 10th place.
