Michele Bachmann might not be the best judge of character. On Monday, a legislative director for Representative Bachmann was arrested in connection with a string of burglaries. The U.S. Capitol Police announced that 37-year-old Javier Sanchez had been charged with theft in the second degree for stealing from the Rayburn House Office Building. A Bachmann spokesman said that Sanchez was "no longer with the office" as of Friday.
