A month after her victory in the Ames Straw Poll in Iowa, Michele Bachmann’s presidential candidacy seems to be in free fall, and Rick Santorum is hoping to poach some of her team. Santorum told ABC News that the past two GOP debates made a big impact on his chances in Iowa, and that “key people” from Bachmann’s campaign “are in conversations with us and see things not going well for her.” He added that his strategy in the state, which is typically won by a social conservative, is “slow and steady.” He's aiming to surprise his party with an unexpected victory, as Mike Huckabee did in 2008.
