On Sunday, authorities announced that the remains of the third victim of a hot air balloon crash had been found. The fiery tragedy occurred after a hot air balloon drifted into power lines, burst into flames, and crashed Friday night at the Mid-Atlantic Balloon Festival in Virginia. Two University of Richmond women’s basketball officials were passengers on the balloon ride. Virginia authorities have not confirmed the identity of the victims, but the school confirmed that associate head coach Ginny Doyle, 44, and Natalie Lewis, 24, director of basketball operations, were aboard the balloon. The pilot was identified as Daniel T. Kirk, which was confirmed by his father. Witnesses to the gruesome incident heard them screaming for help and shouting, “I’m going to die!” as the gondola blazed.
