Bangladeshi authorities say a British man of Bangladeshi origin was the mastermind behind attacks on at least two of four recently slain secular bloggers. They say Touhidur Rahman and his co-conspirators were part of the Ansarullah Bangla Team, a radical Islamist organization. “We’ve arrested them in the capital today. We can confirm that Rahman is a British citizen of Bangladeshi origin. He is the main planner of the attacks on Avijit Roy and Ananta Bijoy Das,” an official said. The bloggers were hacked to death with machetes.
