Tom Barrett is warning voters of what looks like an attempt by the Walker campaign to keep Democrats out of the voting booths. Monday night, the night before the Wisconsin gubernatorial recall election, Barrett supporters received mysterious phone calls notifying them that “if you signed the recall petition, your job is done and you don’t need to vote on Tuesday.” Gov. Scott Walker’s Democratic opponent couldn’t identify who was responsible for the calls, but attempted to counter their effort. “I recorded a robo-call telling people, yes, you do have to do that, and we’ll be sending that to people who signed the recall petition so they know they do have to vote.”
