After eight years, the Indy Car gets a makeover. Maybe you don’t expect to read about autos in the arts section, but Indy is set to introduce a complete design overhaul in 2012. The Dallara IC3 is what spectators and racetracks are used to seeing, but in two years, something sleeker will appear on the course. A driver once called the cars “crapwagons” and the moniker seems to have stuck. The new cars, however, will be faster and cheaper, and apparently will have a winning design.
