Raids were carried out all across Belgium overnight as authorities said there was a situation that required "immediate intervention." Twelve people were arrested in connection with the case and another 40 detained for questioning. Belgian authorities declined to provide further details on the suspects involved and the items seized from the raids but said the searches went smoothly and "without incident."
