Ben Stiller announced on Tuesday that he was diagnosed with prostate cancer two years ago. The actor unveiled the news on Howard Stern’s radio show, explaining that the illness was caught by taking an antigen test that gave him enough notice to treat the cancer before it had spread. “I wanted to talk about it because of the [PSA] test,” Stiller said. “I feel like the test saved my life.” Stiller said the diagnosis came “out of the blue.” He said, “You can’t plan for a movie because you don’t know what's gonna happen.” Stiller said he and his doctor have treated the cancer but that he still gets regular tests to make sure it hasn’t returned.
