The Benghazi emails, released to the press by the Obama administration Wednesday afternoon, reveal that there was more than just a little trouble in the CIA paradise. Included in the 100-page document is proof that then-CIA director David Petraeus and his second-in-command, Michael J. Morell, quarreled over how much information should be released to the public about the deadly September 11 attack. The talking points in question were eventually delivered to the public by Ambassador Susan Rice, who was harshly criticized for trying to conceal the truth. According to the emails, Morell omitted a key talking point about warnings of an extremist attack—a move he hoped would protect the agency’s reputation.
