Berlusconi, who became famous worldwide for his sex scandals, will serve at a Catholic care home near Milan for a year. Upon arrival, Berlusconi was heckled by protesters. The billionaire had his sentence reduced because in Italy leniency to over-70s is part of the legal system. He also had to hand over his passport and his travel within Italy is restricted.
