A four-year-old cold case was cracked on Friday when authorities arrested a man they say killed a family of four in southern California. Joseph McStay, wife Summer, and their two young children vanished without a trace in 2010. Their remains were found buried in the desert last year. San Bernadino police announced that Charles Merritt, Joseph's business partner and self-proclaimed best friend, has been arrested and charged on four counts of murder. Merritt, who has a criminal record, gave an interview last year in order, he said, for attention to be paid and the killer brought to justice. “All I want is for them to find the assholes who did this,” he told the Daily Mail.
