BET Awards Chris Brown Meltdown

Breaks down on stage in comeback performance.

Perhaps he can’t stand the sight of himself anymore? R&B singer Chris Brown broke down crying while performing “Man in the Mirror” at Sunday’s BET Awards. The performance, which was Brown’s first major televised one since he assaulted Rihanna last year, came as part of Brown’s Michael Jackson tribute. Brown dressed the part, wearing a fedora and spangled glove, and showed off his moonwalk during a rendition of “Billie Jean.” Later, he returned to the stage to accept an award and made a veiled reference to his assault of Rihanna: “I let you all down before, but I won’t do it again. I promise you,” he said. In another comeback, Kanye West made his first television appearance since stealing the stage from Taylor Swift at last year’s MTV Video Music Awards.
