Following months of anticipation, Betty White delivered big as the host of Saturday Night Live last night, earning the stalwart sketch comedy show its strongest ratings in a year and a half, when John McCain made a guest appearance shortly before the 2008 election. The well-received show, whose ratings were up 66 percent from the same time last year, also featured a slew of former female cast members such as Tina Fey, Maya Rudolph, and Amy Poehler, who briefly reclaimed her Weekend Update anchor duties. Final viewer totals will be in on Thursday.
