A new book dedicated exclusively to Prince photos has a surprise foreword from none other than Beyoncé herself, reports Entertainment Weekly. The book, Prince: A Private View, is a collection of photographs of the late musician by photographer Afshin Shahidi. Beyoncé’s introduction reads, “The word ‘icon’ only scratches the surface of what Prince was and what he remains to me.” Shahidi, who was the only photographer to shoot exclusive private Prince parties in Los Angeles, was his friend for 20 years and photographer for 10. Shahidi’s book is due out Oct. 17th, with personal captions for each photograph featured.
