Vice President Joe Biden told CNN in an interview aired Monday that President Obama offered his family financial assistance while his son Beau was battling cancer. The vice president said Obama made the offer during a lunch when Biden told him he was considering selling his house to raise funds to help pay for his son’s brain-cancer treatment. Beau Biden died last May at age 46.
