Vice President Joe Biden declined Tuesday to jump into the race to lead the Democratic National Committee. “The vice president is not interested in being DNC chair,” his spokeswoman Kate Bedingfield said, “but he intends to remain deeply involved in helping shape the direction of the Democratic Party moving forward.” Minnesota Rep. Keith Ellison is also in the running for the position, but the prospect of Biden entering the fray had party leaders interested.
