Senator-elect Doug Jones chose family friend and former Vice President Joe Biden as his escort for Wednesday’s swearing-in ceremony on the Senate floor, bucking the long-held tradition of choosing home-state colleagues for the honor. The Republican candidate he defeated in last month’s special election, accused pedophile Roy Moore, has yet to officially concede.
