Biden Urges Unity in Front of Friendly Crowd at Philadelphia Church
At a Philadelphia church Sunday, President Joe Biden spoke to a large congregation about his accomplishments and how he views America today.

President Joe Biden hit the campaign trail over the weekend, stopping at a Philadelphia church Sunday, where he gave a speech in front of a largely friendly congregation and said, “We must unite America again.” According to CBS News, Biden gave the speech in front of several hundred churchgoers at Mt. Airy Church of God in Christ. Despite speculation swirling around Biden’s age, mental faculties and his ability to carry out this campaign, Biden expressed enthusiasm about the future. “I’ve been doing this a long time, and I honest to God have never been more optimistic about America’s future if we stick together,” Biden told those gathered. “The world is looking to America not to carry the burden but to lead their hopes,” he added later. In the more than seven-minute speech, Biden highlighted his response to COVID-19, his intent to provide access tp “healthcare for everybody,” student debt forgiveness, and affordable housing. Following his speech, Biden and the First Lady Jill Biden left to appear at an event in a Harrisburg union hall.
