
The Norman Mailer Center honored writers at a Nov. 8 gala at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel in New York. Rolling Stones guitarist Keith Richards and his co-author, James Fox, were presented the prize for Distinguished Biography by Bill Clinton, for Richards’s 2010 memoir, Life. Elie Wiesel was given a lifetime achievement award, and Gay Talese and Arundhati Roy also were honored.
