Bill Clinton netted $13.4M in speaking fees in 2011

Sure, his wife might garner more headlines these days, but Bubba’s still got it, apparently. Former President Bill Clinton had his most profitable speaking year ever in 2011, bringing in $13.4 million, which exceeded his previously most profitable year by 25%. The details, revealed in Hillary’s financial disclosure statement, show that Bill gave 54 speeches in 2011. The most profitable were overseas and netted him staggering amounts — $750,000 for a Hong Kong address to Ericsson and $700,000 for a speech to a newspaper publishing company in Lagos. In the 11 years since he left the Oval Office, Clinton is averaging a very health $189,000 per appearance.
