Lawyers for disgraced comedian Bill Cosby, who was convicted of sexual assault last month, want the Supreme Court to review model Janice Dickinson’s defamation lawsuit against him, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Cosby’s lawyers applied for an extension to file a petition for the Supreme Court review on Friday. Dickinson accused Cosby of drugging and raping her in the 1980s, and his former attorney Marty Singer responded with a letter calling her claims an “outrageous defamatory lie.” A California court earlier ruled that Dickinson’s case against Cosby could move forward in November, despite Cosby’s side arguing that Singer’s statement was an opinion. A petition for review was also filed in a separate defamation case against Cosby from Katherine McKee, who claims she was raped by Cosby in 1974.
