The son-in-law of Osama bin Laden was convicted in a Manhattan federal court on Wedensday on charges of conspiring to kill Americans as al Qaeda’s spokesman after the 9/11 attacks. The verdict was reached after deliberations on the case against Sulaiman Abu Ghaith began on Tuesday. Ghaith, 48, claimed he was using bin Laden’s talking points in videos in which he threatened the U.S. He was captured in Jordan last year, and now could be sentenced to life in prison.
