Note to the Twitterati: Opening statements will be delivered on Tuesday in former Illinois Governor Rod Blagojevich’s trial—and, if you’re interested, Blagojevich will be tweeting what he thinks. “Looking forward to opening statements because that will unlock the truth... stay tuned,” Blagojevich wrote on Monday morning, via his Twitter name, GovernorRod. Blagojevich, 53, previously pleaded not guilty to 24 counts—most notably, that he tried to sell off President Obama’s former Illinois Senate seat. If you can’t get enough of the Blagojevich family, his wife Patti tweets, too, under the name PBlagojevich. Both will be in the courtroom, where U.S. District Court Judge James Zagel is expected to finalize jury selection and swear in the panel. Opening arguments will follow.
