Check “yes” if you will support the war in Iraq: In testimony before Parliament, Tony Blair’s former spin doctor, Alastair Campbell, said that the former prime minister passed secret notes to President Bush in the runup to the Iraq War, promising that Britain would “be there” if war broke out. Asked whether Blair wrote to Bush in 2002, Campbell said, “I would say the tenor of them was that... we share the analysis, we share the concern, we are going to be with you in making sure that Saddam Hussein is faced up to his obligations and that Iraq is disarmed.”
