Bloody Pig’s Foot Sent to Rep. King

After contentious Muslim hearings.

In an episode out of The Godfather, police are investigating a bloody pig’s foot that was sent to the Washington, D.C. office of Rep. Peter King (R-NY), according to NBC’s Luke Russert. The pig’s foot reportedly had a note attached containing anti-Semitic writing, and was found when the package was radiated and scanned for explosives. It never made it to King’s office. The creepy package comes just weeks after King, who is chairman of the House Homeland Security Committee, held a controversial hearing titled “The Extent of Radicalization in the American Muslim Community and That Community’s Response”—one that many viewed as the height of anti-Muslim bigotry. King’s next hearing will take place in late May or early June, and will focus on the radicalization and adoption of violent views among those incarcerated in U.S. prisons.
