A retired actress died when the Los Angeles wildfires tore through her home in Altadena, her family announced. Dalyce Curry, 95, appeared as an extra on the 1950s films Blues Brothers, Ten Commandments and Lady Sings the Blues. Curry’s body was discovered on Sunday by first responders. “About an hour ago the coroner confirmed her remains were found at the property,” Curry’s great-granddaughter, Dalyce Kelley, posted on Facebook. Kelley added that she had last seen Curry, known by family as “Momma D,” on Tuesday night, after dropping her off from the hospital. She woke to an alert that Curry’s power had been cut off. She rushed to Curry’s house but was stopped by police, who told her Curry’s property had burned down. On Friday, she was escorted to the house by the National Guard. “It was total devastation,” Kelley told a local outlet. “Everything was gone except her blue Cadillac.”
