Former senator Bob Dole paid his respects to George H.W. Bush on Tuesday in the Capitol Rotunda. The 95-year-old former Kansas senator, who served over three decades in Congress, was held up from his wheelchair by an aide in order to stand in front of Bush’s casket. Dole then saluted the elder Bush as a sign of honor and respect. Bush died last week in Houston, and his body was flown to Washington, D.C., so he could be honored by lawmakers and the public on Capitol Hill. He will reportedly be buried next to his wife, Barbara Bush, on the grounds of Texas A&M.
