President Obama’s team is used to taking flack from the left, but now the right is piling on too: House Minority Leader John Boehner gave a speech on Tuesday in which he called on President Obama to fire Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner and economic adviser Larry Summers. His call for their firing came packaged in a speech that is otherwise your boilerplate Republican economic proposals: no tax hikes and a repeal of portions of health-care reform. “It hasn’t worked,” Boehner said of Geithner and Summers. “Our fresh start needs to begin now.”
