Pavel Dmitrichenko, the principal dancer of Russia's Bolshoi Ballet, confessed Wednesday to orchestrating the acid attack on the company’s artistic director Sergei Filin, covering his face, neck, and eyes with third-degree burns, back in January. Two other men confessed to carrying out the mission, and the three now face up to 12 years in prison. “I organized the attack, but not to the extent of the damage that happened,” Dmitrichenko told Russia’s Channel One news. Police said the assault was planned based on “personal resentment related to his work.”
