Bon Jovi, the Cars, and Nina Simone are among the artists to be inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame on Saturday night. Dire Straits, The Moody Blues, and Sister Rosetta Tharpe will also claim the honor at the Rock Hall’s 33rd annual ceremony in Cleveland. With numerous No. 1 hits under their belt, Bon Jovi was first nominated in 2011 but was only selected to join this year. Radiohead, Kate Bush, Rage Against the Machine, and Depeche Mode were among the groups nominated who failed to make the cut. The inductees were chosen from a group of 19 nominees in a vote among 1,000 people, including industry experts and music historians.
