According to documents filed in court Wednesday, prosecutors say Boston Marathon bombing suspects Dzhokhar and Tamerlan Tsarnaev used Christmas lights and radio car parts in the bombs they planted at the sporting event last year. “The marathon bombs were constructed using improvised fuses made from Christmas lights and improvised, remote-control detonators fashioned from model-car parts,” prosecutors wrote. In addition, the brothers reportedly used crushed fireworks containing black powder as explosive fuel for the bombs. According to the prosecutors, given the level of sophistication, the bombs are evidence that the Tsarnaevs received training or assistance.
