Bowie’s Last Album Debuts at No. 1

David Bowie’s last album, Blackstar, released just two days before he died, reached No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart. This posthumous success marks the first time one of his albums has reached No. 1. This past week also marked the biggest sales week, according to Nielsen Music, that the artist has ever had with 181,000 equivalent album units sold in the U.S. alone.
