Is this the end of the luxury box era? After banning its executives from using company suites, General Motors has been released from its contract with the NCAA to buy luxury box tickets at this year’s Final Four in Detroit. Instead, the seats will be sold on an individual basis to the public. A suite ticket will run about $1,495 each and includes tickets to all three games, as well as food and bar service. Primesport, the company holding the tickets, remains confident it can sell the 15 to 20 seats in each box for the Final Four; though in this economy, it may take a remarkable match up.
